Jilin City has been approved as a pilot city for cross-border e-commerce retail import.

With the approval of the State Council, on March 18, 2021, the Ministry of Commerce, the Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the General Administration of Customs, the State Administration of Taxation, the State Administration of Market Supervision and other six departments jointly issued the Notice on Expanding the Pilot Import of Cross-border E-commerce Retail and Strictly Implementing Supervision Requirements. Jilin City was approved as a cross-border e-commerce retail import. Pilot cities can carry out online bonded import (customs supervision method code 1210) business after the customs confirms that it meets the regulatory requirements.

 

 

Online bonded import business refers to the supervision of cross-border e-commerce retail imported goods according to personal use, and does not implement the requirements of the first import license, registration or filing requirements for the first import of relevant commodities. After the opening of the business, it will further enrich the types of cross-border e-commerce imported goods in our city, greatly shorten the import time and reduce the operating costs of enterprises. At the same time, enterprises can also enjoy cross-border e-commerce retail imports in accordance with the supervision policy of personal self-use goods, to provide citizens with high-quality and low-cost imported goods, and improve the quality of people's daily life.

Jilin City has been approved as a pilot city for cross-border e-commerce retail import, and the addition of online shopping bonded import business model will bring substantial benefits to Jilin enterprises engaged in cross-border e-commerce business, and will certainly play a positive role in promoting the construction of Jilin cross-border e-commerce comprehensive test zone.
